What are Recreation Services?

Putting the 'FUN' in functional learning

Recreation Services provide opportunities designed to assist and encourage children and youth clients to take advantage of individual or group activities directed towards promoting growth and development. These activities allow clients to explore their interests, exercise their skill sets and pursue personal development.

To be eligible for recreation services the child/youth must be a registered client with Lansdowne Children's Centre and meet the requirements as set per-program. For more information about recreation programs please speak with your Lansdowne service provider or contact SmartStart Hub.

Recreation programs include:

  • Every Kids Counts (EKC)

  • Camp and Recreation (CARE)

  • Therapeutic Recreation (TR)​
