Staff and Clients contribute to the success of Snack Attack donation campaign
Brantford, ON - Congratulations and appreciation are to be shared with staff and clients at Lansdowne Children's Centre, who contributed to a 142 pounds of back to school snack donations destined for local distribution wiht the Brantford Food Bank.
Leslie Greentree, Coordinator, Network Programs & Procurement with the food bank shared appreciation on behalf of the organizaiton, and the community.
"Know that we couldn’t continue to do what we do, here at the Food Bank, without the support of those such as yourselves!"
The Brantford Food Bank offers an emergency food bank service to individuals and families in Brantford, Brant and Six Nations. This includes low-income families, children, the elderly, abuse survivors and the homeless.
Earlier this summer there were local reports about area Food Banks being in dire need of donations. A report from the Brant County Health Unit showed that around one in six households in Brantford-Brant was food insecure in 2023, meaning they had “inadequate access to nutritious food due to a lack of money.”
