Board Opportunities, Lansdowne Children's Centre Is Recruiting Volunteer Leaders

The Lansdowne Children's Centre Board of Directors is a volunteer group of community leaders responsible for providing oversight for operations and strategic planning.
The Lansdowne Children's Centre Board of Directors is a volunteer group of community leaders responsible for providing oversight for operations and strategic planning.







With a priority on diversity, equity and inclusion, the Governance Committee of the Lansdowne Children's Centre Board of Directors is seeking representation and participation from across our catchment area, including Brantford, Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk counties, Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. 


There will be Lansdowne Centre Board positions coming available as of June 2025, and the board is welcoming applications for consideration.


"We promote a welcoming environment, a safe place for free conversation about skills, services and supports needed to meet the interests and demands of the children, youth and families seeking services and programs at Lansdowne Children's Centre."

Board members are required to attend monthly meetings, typically during midday, meet as a united group on alternating months. Committees meet as sub-groups on alternate months and as scheduled. Board membership requires participation on a Committee.


The Lansdowne Children's Centre Board of Directors is committed to having a Board composition that reflects the cultural diversity of our community and the diverse population we serve with respect to age, gender, religion, identity, Indigeneity, being a Person of Colour or 2SLGTBQ+, etc. Individuals with lived experience of marginalization are encouraged to self-identify in their application.

All candidates are encouraged to consider all their life experiences that they feel could be value-added to our organization’s mission, and share what motivates them to want to volunteer their time and expertise in service of Lansdowne Children's Centre clients: past, current and waiting, infants, children, youth and their families.
