Lynden, ON - Lansdowne Children's Centre Foundation was so touched by the proceeds raised at Josmar Acres on Berrry Day for Lansdowne that took place Saturday, June 24.
The Lynden-based family-owned farm donated one-dollar from each quart of fresh field strawberries picked by members of the community. An overcast but very warm day greeted a great turn out of families who combined to pick over 3,000 quarts!
"This family run business has been an integral part of our fundraising efforts each summer and we are so grateful for their partnership,"
says Candace Kingyens, senior development officer with Lansdowne Children's Centre Foundation.
Berry Day has become an annual event for Lansdowne Children's Centre families to mark the start of the summer season.
