Summer Recreation Support Worker

Provide support as required to ensure that children/youth with special needs have opportunities to engage in recreational programs. This support may be provided in community camps and/or Lansdowne Recreation Programs.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Preferred - Post secondary school diploma in Human Services (ECE, DSW, CYW, Recreation/Leisure Studies, etc.).
Emergency First Aid CPR Level C is required.
Employment is conditional upon successful completion of background checks, including a police vulnerable sector check, proof of immunizations, including COVID-19 vaccination.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Preference will be given to applicants that have experience with:
working in recreation camps program
children with special needs ages preschool to teens
experience with proactive behaviour strategies
