Recreational & Camp Programs

What is Recreation and Camp Programs?

The Recreation Program provides a fun, safe and nurturing environment where children and youth can socialize with old friends and make new ones, and learn new skills. Some examples of the programs are Life Skills – “In the Kitchen” series, baking, arts/crafts, science mania, Boy’s Night Out, outdoor nature activities, theme parties, etc. The cost for each program includes quality programming, materials, and experienced staff to meet a child’s individual needs.

We also offer 2 weeks of camp in the summer and 1 week during March Break and full day programs on School Professional Development Days and during Christmas Break.

Who is eligible for Recreation and Camp Programs?

Any child or youth presently receiving services through SS@H, In-home Respite, or Kids Country Inn.

What can I expect?

Recreation calendars are sent to families to advise of the upcoming planned activities. Families call and register for the events that interest their child. Payment for the activities can be either by cash/cheque or by requesting the funds to be withdrawn from their SS@H, ACSD or Medically Fragile contracts.
