Early Integration Program (EIP)
What is the Early Integration Program?
The Early Integration Program provides support to children with developmental concerns and/or delays in licensed child care centres or licensed private home day cares. The Resource Teacher provides developmental screens and assessments and works collaboratively with the child, family, child care centre and other professionals to help children develop to their full potential. The program promotes the inclusion of all children in the preschool setting.
The Resource teacher assists by taking a case management role helping the families navigate through services as well as transitioning to school to ensure everyone is working together to meet the needs of the child.
Resource Teacher assistance is available to children who require additional support beyond the Day Care Centres capacity.
Who is for the Early Integration Program?
Children 0 -6 years of age with a developmental concern and or delay are eligible for the program. Referrals can be made directly to Lansdowne Childrens Centre by parents, or community workers.
What can I expect?
